1. Romans 8:28
Paul gives one of the most comforting bible verses for cancer patients. According to Paul, all things work out for good for those who love and follow God and are called according to His purpose – even those situations that seem impossible, like your sins can be turned around through Him.

2. Psalm 34:18
Fighting cancer takes an emotional toll that may take an emotional toll as well. Yet God remains near to those with broken hearts, saving those crushed in spirit – He won’t break a bruised reed or extinguish a faint flame of hope.
God knows when you’re feeling weak or struggling. Call out to Him; He’ll come close and comfort you.
3. Psalm 107:20
Fighting cancer can be one of the most challenging and taxing experiences a person will ever go through, yet those affected must find strength and comfort from God’s Word. Psalm 41 serves as an inspiring reminder that He promises protection for those who put their trust in him.
Psalmist encourages his readers to give thanks for God’s goodness even during times of difficulty, especially praising Him for His healing power; His words bring healing and deliverance from destructions; He can turn death into life!
4. Romans 8:31
As you battle cancer, God can provide strength. Just as He was with Naaman in 2 Chronicles 5, He will never abandon or forsake you.
Remember Hezekiah’s story when feeling overwhelmed by your cancer diagnosis. After hearing from Isaiah that Hezekiah had cancer, Hezekiah immediately turned to God in prayer, imploring for mercy from a loving, merciful Lord who responded by giving Him 15 additional years of life – just as He can do the same for you too.
5. Psalm 91:11
Many cancer patients find comfort in this verse which affirms God’s protection of us and reminds us that those living within His shadow will remain safe.
Imagine God as your guardian angels protecting and shielding you from harm and danger. This verse gives us hope that God is with us on the battlefield!
Remember the story of Naaman in 2 Chronicles 5? His faith and obedience brought healing; God promises that He will do the same for you!
6. Psalm 139:23
Cancer patients find comfort in this verse as a reminder that God knows every detail of their life. God understands their innermost thoughts just as He knows all humanity (Psalms 139:1a). Furthermore, this image of God as shepherd is powerful – reminding the psalmist both of Jesus’ words (“I am the good shepherd”) as well as Israel’s experience during wilderness wanderings and exile (Jeremiah 17:9-10).
David beseeches God to probe his heart and evaluate his thoughts, seeking clarity as to whether there may be any form of impurity lurking there. Additionally, David hopes God will guide him along a path of everlasting life.
7. Psalm 145:15
Fighting cancer is no easy feat for patients and their loved ones alike, yet the Psalmist reminds us all that the Lord understands our feelings, emotions and struggles (Ps 139) – as well as that they can always turn to Him for assistance.
Psalmist encourages all to praise God for His works, since His works show His glory and magnificence. Furthermore, praise should not just be an emotional response; rather it should be thought out and thoughtfully considered – offering new experiences which take us forward towards greater horizons – making praise an honorable pursuit worthy of recognition by us all.
